Description

A tribute to the beauty of the Salvadoran countryside. The Wildflower Bouquet Tote Bag blends organic resilience with the utmost delicacy of textile art. Handcrafted from authentic jute fiber in its original sand tone, this 10.2-inch (26 cm) tall bag serves as the perfect canvas for its exquisite centerpiece: a vibrant bouquet of wildflowers meticulously woven in crochet. Featuring bright pink, yellow, and red buds intertwined with green leaves and carefully tied with a rustic jute bow, this design radiates femininity, freshness, and natural charm. The sturdy tubular jute handles ensure flawless and comfortable support, and are subtly adorned with a cheerful dangling yellow pompom that adds movement. Inside, a soft fabric lining in a warm orange tone protects your belongings, offering a beautiful visual contrast. It is the ideal accessory to brighten up your spring and summer outfits, ensuring you always carry a unique, sustainable work of art with you.

  • Fully Lined Interior: The interior is carefully lined with vibrant orange fabric, protecting your personal items from rubbing against the natural fiber.
  • Bohemian Accents: Meticulously crafted details, such as the jute bow tying the bouquet and the playful dangling yellow pompom, inject a heavy dose of personality and boho-chic style.

Sonia Patricia

Hi, my name is Sonia Patricia, and I was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador. I learned to weave when I was a young girl, never imagining that one day this skill would become one of my greatest sources of strength. Five years ago, after losing my job, I had to find a new way to support myself. Rather than give up in the face of uncertainty, I decided to learn how to work with jute and explore the possibilities this new skill could offer.

With hard work and determination, I was able to establish a small weaving workshop in Santa Ana, where I handcraft jute bags. Turning my skills into a reliable source of income wasn’t easy at first, but little by little, I refined my technique and found a sense of fulfillment in every piece I created. Today, my bags represent much more than a way to make a living. They allow me to support myself through my own work and take pride in knowing that I still have so much to create and contribute.

My bags are sold primarily at the National Artisan Market in San Salvador, where people who appreciate handmade goods can discover my work. Each piece carries a part of my story and reflects the determination of a woman who chose to start over when life took an unexpected turn. For me, working with jute is not just a way to earn a living; it is also a reminder to believe in myself and in everything I can still achieve.
